Saint Paul reminds us that “there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit” (1 Corinthians 12:4). I see that truth every week at Christ Church. I see it in our Altar Guild, who prepare the table with quiet devotion before most of us arrive. I see it in our choir and musicians, who lift our worship to places words alone cannot reach. I see it in our lay readers, ushers, acolytes, and Eucharistic ministers, who make each Sunday possible.
Thank you for all you are and all you do. It is a joy and a privilege to serve as your Rector. I thank God for each of you, and I look forward to all that we will do together in the year to come.

Our faith has never been meant to stay inside our walls, and this year you carried it out into our neighborhood. Through Feed My Sheep, we served over 1000 neighbors who needed a hot meal and a warm welcome. Our Outreach to the Kyle Hotel has brought joy to the residents and reminds us of our love for our neighbors.

As you prayerfully consider your pledge for 2027, we invite you to ask not “What must I give?” but “What has God given me, and how might I give thanks?” For some, that may mean taking a step toward the biblical tithe. For others, it may mean a first-time pledge of any size. Every pledge, whatever the amount, matters, because it tells us who is walking this road together and helps our Vestry plan wisely for the year ahead.
