Empowered by the Holy Spirit, our vision as Daughters of the King is to know Jesus Christ, to make Him known to others, and to become reflections of God’s love throughout the world.
A Christian order is a community of men or women living under a religious rule. Because Daughters of the King accept a
Rule of Life, we define ourselves as an order, not an organization. Our community is found primarily in our local chapters, but it extends around the world.
We don’t just enroll as members and attend meetings. After a three-month period of study and discernment, each new member takes vows to uphold the two Rules of The Order, the
Rule of Prayer and the
Rule of Service. These rules help us with our commitment to Evangelism.
Our chapter meets quarterly for fellowship usually involving a meal, a devotional, and an opportunity for spiritual growth. We try to hold a Quiet Day each year. We confidentially pray daily for those on our prayer list. This fall we will begin a Bible Study group and a Spiritual Formation group for those women who are already Daughters. There are DOK Diocesan Assemblies twice a year with the spring one held at a church and the fall one held at Camp Allen. These assemblies give us an opportunity to share our Christian walk with other Daughters in the diocese.
If you would like to know more about the Daughters of the King, please contact Michelle Weller or any other Daughter. We can be recognized by the distinctive cross we wear daily. We plan to have a training this fall if you wish to consider becoming a Daughter.
