As we prepare to bring our gifts to the altar, let us raise our voices in prayer and praise, thanking God for the opportunity to tell out our souls in joy.
At Christ Church, we celebrate stories of great Good News. What is your Good News—the idea, dream, or challenge God has placed in your heart that needs to be shared? What ministry are you called to that can change the world, sharing your talents, gifts, and love with your neighbors?
Our Stewardship Campaign this year highlights these stories – the ones inside you, the ones you are still writing, and the ones we share about those who have gone before us. We are all part of this ongoing narrative – the continuous Creation.
As you pray about how you will share your gifts with us this year, think about how God is calling you to tell out your soul, to spread the Good News far and wide.
Christ Church is guided by its mission: Centered in Jesus, Focused on Grace, and Engaged in the Community. We are growing; you can see it in our Nursery, which has increased from an average of 5 children per Sunday in 2021 to 13 children per Sunday this year.
We have seen the Average Sunday Attendance grow year over year, from a low of 87 in 2021 to 153 this year. And look at our church building — a new roof, a repaired and painted sanctuary, a repaired and painted choir room, and a repainted and restored portico.
Currently, our budget is $650,000, with almost half allocated to salaries. Your vestry hopes we will see a significant increase in the budget to $750,000.
Our hope is to:
- Call an assistant priest or curate to Christ Church.
- Expand our capacity for pastoral care
- Allocate a greater portion of our pledge income to Mission and Community needs.
- Hire a part-time youth minister to coordinate Christian formation.
- Repair and replace campus windows.
- Tear down the old school building.
- Expand our outreach to the overlooked in our community by doubling our efforts with Feed My Sheep.
- Take a mission trip or pilgrimage to Malawi.
- Work to catch up on overdue maintenance
